Matthew is a passionate advocate for property owners in condemnation and eminent domain proceedings.
Matthew has an A.B., cum laude with high honors in Economics, from Harvard University, an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. During law school, Matthew served as Data and Analytics Editor on the Columbia Law Review, Vice President on the Columbia Federalist Society, IT and Library Chairman on Student Senate, and as a teaching assistant for Civil Procedure and Criminal Law. Matthew was a James Kent Scholar (highest single-year honors) all three years and was awarded the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Prize (highest three-year honors).
Prior to joining Ackerman & Ackerman, Matthew served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jerry E. Smith on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable Michael H. Park on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
